Comment on Oswald at Write Act Repertory Theater by Barry Ford

Well, it appears that - judging from this review - this play is deluding a gullible, uninformed audience if they are given the impression that Oswald could have fired 3 shots rapidly with his old bolt-action Mannlicher-Carcano rifle, a sub-scale weapon in every respect. Expert marksmen (which Oswald was not) have tried to match the Dallas shot sequence with this weapon and failed.

Oswald denied he shot anyone because that is the truth. Tests showed he had no gunpowder traces on his hands or cheek, a clear proof that he had not fired any gun on November 22nd. No, he didn't kill JFK with his pathetic rifle, nor (as eyewitnesses since silenced stated) was he the man who shot Officer Tippett with a pistol post JFK assassination on Dallas streets..

The truest words spoken on November 22nd were Oswald's:
Reporter: Did you kill the President?
Oswald: No, sir. I'm a Patsy.

That is why he was himself assassinated by Lloyd Ruby in the Dallas Police Station. He knew too much.

He was a low-level intelligence agent as released CIA records have shown. He was prepped for his role as a patsy years ahead of the November 22nd event - sent to Russia, then under Naval Intelligence influence was "sheep-dipped" as a pro-Castro, pro-communist in New Orleans. As District Attorney Jim Garrison discovered, he was even sent briefly to a mental institution in Louisiana to paint him as mentally unstable.

If Dennis Richard doesn't know all this, then he didn't do his homework before writing his play. There should be lots of "NEW" in any play about Lee Harvey Oswald if only you have the guts and the ability to tell it.

The official story of the JFK assassination is a lie. It was a coup d'etat conceived and executed at the highest levels of our government because they feared what JFK would do if re-elected to a 2nd term. This is what needs to be told to the American Public, not more lies.

Especially since we have a President today - against whom a multitude of assassination threats and a few serious attempts have been made - who is seeking a 2nd term in office. Getting the truth out about Oswald and what happened on 22 November 1963 might prevent history from repeating itself.

[...] BITTERSWEET It is an interesting premise (a high stakes cat-and-mouse game played out between two individuals with the entire world watching and waiting), but because of far too many unnecessary scenes and characters, combined with substandard performances in the supporting roles (and director Richmond Shepard’s failure to rein them in), I believe Oswald will appeal mostly to the those individuals who have an unquenchable thirst for detective dramas or anything Kennedy.
Really excellent play. Believable characters in a heart-breaking dramedy that my girlfriend and I equally enjoyed. Kudos to the dream team of Manous, Kimball, and Pitillo as the estranged sisters. Great chemistry together! Equal kudos to director John Barker and especially to playwright Kimberly Demmary (only her second play written!).

[...] Fruit Fly the new show written and performed by Leslie Jordan is enough to make any other Southern Belle blush. And, with plenty of hilarious humor, playfulness, twists, turns, hammed up bloopers and a little bit of polite dissing, Mr. Jordan gives us a surprising, sentimental and bittersweet picture of what it was like growing up a boy who really loved being a girl in the South, with the off-handed help of his grandmother, Mary Lucille, and mother whose early sage advice was, “just don’t tell daddy,” giving us more than a devilish take on the age old question, “Do gay men become their mothers?” [...]
